Since the 1970s, the Kimpton name has been synonymous with the automotive aftermarket industry. Mike Kimpton, renowned for his successful representation of esteemed brands such as Haynes Manuals and Mountney Steering Wheels, bought Mountney from owner and founder Albert Mountney. The rest, as they say, is history.

Over the ensuing four decades, Mountney has continuously evolved, introducing a diverse array of products ranging from replacement mirror glass to roof bars, sport suspension to steering wheels. The Mountney legacy expanded to include partnerships with leading brands like Gmax and Summit, broadening our offerings and solidifying our position as market leaders.

Today, Mountney Ltd continues to thrive with a renewed focus on delivering premium products to wholesalers, factors, garages, and retailers worldwide. Under the Mountney Classic banner, we honour the heritage laid down by Mike and Albert, offering iconic steering wheels and accessories cherished by enthusiasts. Meanwhile, our Summit brand spearheads innovation, leading the market in replacement mirror glass and roof bar solutions for passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Our commitment to motorsport runs deep, reflecting Mike's own racing background and longstanding membership of the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC). From supporting emerging talent in karting, sponsoring renowned series like Formula Ford, the Armed Services Rally Team and Porsche Carrera Cup driver Jack Butel.
